The All England Open Badminton Championships 2009 are being held at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham this week and Slazenger S1 sports drinks have been named as the official sports drink for the championships.

Slazenger S1, which is formulated to aid both physical and mental performance, helps the body replace lost salts and fluids faster than isotonic sports drinks. Available in 500ml bottles with a sports cap, the drinks are absorbed by the body up to 40 per cent quicker than isotonic drinks.

Dave Shaw is now General Manager of HEAD UK. He replaces Jeremy Sherwood who has been promoted to the Board of HEAD International & assumes the new role of Executive Director Global Sales & Marketing. Helen McHugh has also joined the team as Promotions Manager.

In what has clearly been a busy start to 2009 the brand has also confirmed the signing of world No 3 Tennis player Novak Djokovic, and alongside Andy Murray, currently world No 4, has reinforced their strong position at the top of the game.

The recent World Ski Championships' held in Val d'Isere also proved successful with Didier Cuche capturing two Gold medals.
