Allied Partners' has a busy 09
Despite the reports of doom and gloom in the High Street, Allied Partners have been extremely busy, with a series of shows and stockrooms throughout December, January and February.
Early December saw the Partners members attend a two-day football and rugby event at their traditional Bournemouth venue, with 30 Allied members attending covering 60 shops.
This was followed by two stockrooms in little more than a week, with Asics and adidas hosting at Newbury and Uxbridge respectively.
A visit to ispo in Munich followed, with a delegation of 16 members attending for a three-day visit. Good contacts were made with potential suppliers, and new sources of product were established. The show also provided the opportunity for a meeting with other European buying groups, including ISRA, with whom Allied continue to work closely.
After Munich came the Allied annual show at the end of February, which is in its eighth year.
