Emerald Alpine the longest established outdoor shop in Limerick, has joined fast-growing buying group STAG.  Vincent McCarthy of Emerald Alpine says: "Quite simply the decision to join STAG is a no-brainer, the positive margin improvements are too good to ignore."

The STAG membership grew with the addition of John Kent Sports in Sligo, a superb sports shop in a bustling town and a destination store for many.

Derek Corcoran, owner of Fanatics Sports in Cobh has also joined the group, he comments: "STAG membership will give me vastly increased margins in these challenging times. If you can't grow your top line then you need to improve your bottom line."

Colgan Sports, a long-established business which operates from four sports retail outlets, joined to take advantage of increased trade discounts from major brands - just one of the reasons to sign up for STAG.

Gus Culkin, owner of Balleyshannon Shoes, also joined STAG.  He said: "The minimal cost to join STAG was far outweighed by the savings I can make on trade discounts, I will also be taking advantage of STAG'S superb merchant card rates."
