NISTEX returns as a landmark show
NISTEX made a welcome return as it took its place again as a star sports trade show firmament. The event, organized and run by INTERSPORT in association with SGB, was bound for success as it offered independent retailers the exclusive and unmatched opportunity to meet with the world's top brands, including adidas, Asics, Nike, Puma, Speedo, Umbro and Under Armour.
The event took place at INTERSPORT's stylish and contemporary purpose-built headquarters, Cranmore Park in Solihull, Birmingham. This proved an ideal environment to mark INTERSPORT's arrival back as an industry leader. It was a show where retailers and suppliers found the perfect forum to enjoy great hospitality, network and build strong relationships; all against the background of some of the best buying deals currently available on the market.
It was in the words of one retailer that the show might be summed up, when he commented: "The exhibition enabled us to put a hand mirror to the market and see the vast range of opportunities available for ourselves."
Reviewing the show, Barry Mellis, INTERSPORT's General Manager, commented: "We have hit the comeback trail in a big way and the show demonstrated the revitalized pulling-power of the INTERSPORT brand. As we move forward in making impressive headway and our strategy for growth takes hold we can see how we have, once again, become the magnet for retailers as they seek the best buying deals from the leading sport's brands in, what is after all, the most challenging of economic times."
Developing the theme, he said: "We continue to re-emerge as a major force in the market and at he same time we recognize the staunch loyalty and the steadfast allegiance of both our members and the brands that mark out our success and enabled us to put on a re-modeled exhibition that chimed with the market and stands as a landmark for the industry."
