The Molten G-Series basketball has been selected by CoolBoard, the ultimate balance board, as its preferred ball.
CoolBoard, originally created as a surfer's training aid, helps boarders and athletes of all kinds build core strength and stability. Unlike most balance boards, the CoolBoard floats freely on a ball which allows it to move and rotate in any direction.
Comments Nic Smith, designer of the CoolBoard and former body boarder and aeronautical engineer: "What distinguishes the CoolBoard from other balance boards is that it floats on a ball, rather than a cylindrical roller. Initially, this design element caused us many headaches as we sought to find a ball which could withstand the extreme pressure the board exerts when in use. Having tested every make of ball we could find, we finally hit on the Molten G-Series rubber basketball. Molten is the only ball which has the strength to cope."
Meanwhile, Molten has announced its sponsorship of the Wessex Football League, with their Molten Vantaggio FVA-5000A the league's official ball. Molten is to sponsor the League for the next three seasons commencing August 2009 up to May 2012.
