OIA report highlights consumer trends
The Outdoor Industries Association (OIA) recently published the second volume of Shaping the Future. This year's report focuses on buying trends and showcases the results of research that tested the opinions of 3,500 outdoor consumers across the United Kingdom.
Shaping the Future 2009 outlines consumer views and buying habits relating to a range of issues: the state of the economy; sustainability and the environment; and traditional retail versus online. The report also explores in some detail consumer attitudes towards outdoor clothing and footwear, looking at features, performance, frequency of purchase and price.
Shaping the Future 2009 is being distributed free of charge to all OIA members and will be available to download from the members area of www.outdoorindustriesassociation.co.uk, along with the detailed research data. The report can also be purchased from the OIA by non members.
