Salomon product recall
Salomon SAS is carrying out a voluntary and precautionary recall of the toe pieces of the listed models of Salomon-branded ski bindings, Atomic-branded ski bindings and TECNOpro-branded ski bindings. The ski binding models subject to the recall were produced between July and October 2008 and sold in the 2008/2009 season. These bindings were manufactured by Salomon and share the same toe piece construction.
This safety recall is effective immediately and these bindings must no longer be used until the toe component is replaced. In certain circumstances, the toe components of the below listed models may not fully secure the ski boot into the binding, possibly causing the binding to release inadvertently, posing a falling risk to the skier.
The toe components of following models are affected:
branded models:
LZ 7, LZ 8, LZ 9
LZ 7 SR, LZ 8 SR, LZ 8 SC
JLZ 9
branded models:
eVOX 2.8, eVOX 2.8+, eVOX2.8++ and FFG8
branded models:
TL 70, TL 80
TL 70 SP, TL 80 SP
TL 70 SR
Salomon SAS is asking owners of the listed binding models to bring their bindings to an authorized Salomon, Atomic or INTERSPORT authorized ski dealer where an appropriate replacement of the affected toe components will be made free of charge.
