AMG Group, owners of leading outdoor brands Vango, Force Ten and Lichfield and UK and Ireland distributors of Trangia, Wayfayrer and Rossignol, are strengthening their association with The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme for 2010.
Vango’s new for 2010 lightweight Halo tent, award winning Supernova sleeping bag range and Pumori rucsac now feature on the DofE Recommended Kit List. They join nine other tents, 2 sleeping bag ranges, 2 rucsac ranges and 2 self inflating sleeping mat ranges which have featured on the list in previous years.
In addition to this AMG are also pleased to announce that the DofE are now recommending 8 Trangia stove systems and various accessories from this highly regarded stove brand in the outdoor industry.
AMG have been working closely with the DofE for a number of years ensuring that their products match up to the rigorous testing standards in terms of quality, durability and safety. All products on the Recommended Kit list have been tested by their own teams before being awarded Recommended status.
The latest addition to Vango’s Lightweight collection for 2010 is the Halo 200 and 300 with a total weight of only 3.55kg and 4kg respectively and featuring on all Vango DofE promotional campaigns in 2010. This DofE tried and tested product is sure to become a firm favourite with youth groups, DofE participants and outdoor enthusiasts.
The innovative, simple to pitch, semi-geodesic configuration provides both a dry area to store gear on the groundsheet and an open section perfect for a stove and muddy boots.
