Puma partners Burnley
No sooner had Puma announced its two-year team kit and merchandise deal with Championship high flyers Newcastle United, than the famous brand had followed-up with the announcement that it will be supplying Premiership side Burnley for four seasons, starting with the 2010/11 season.
The contract will see Puma supply the Premiership newcomers with technical and replica kit and training wear.
"We are looking forward to embarking upon a new technical kit partnership with Burnley,” said Roger Harrison, Puma UK marketing director. “This will give Puma great exposure throughout the North West and with great kit and good service we will be an excellent partner for the club.”
The contract has been arranged with Burnley by Puma’s Pro Team-sports licensee Genesis Sports, and this is the latest of a string of advances Puma has making into top-level club and international football in recent months.
Puma was very visible at the recent Africa Cup of Nations, providing multiple team kits and boots, including a new version of its v1.10 boot in the striking Angolan team colours of Gold, Black and Red (pictured).
