Versaclimber UK signs London Welsh Rugby Club fitness coach as European ambassador for Versapulley weightless exercise machines

Versaclimber UK, the UK distributor for Versaclimber fitness equipment, has signed professional fitness coach Paul Cater as an ambassador for the Versapulley weightless exercise machine across Europe.

Cater is head of strength and conditioning at London Welsh Rugby Club, as well as a consultant to professional footballers in England and Spain.

Cater first came across Versapulley as an American football and baseball trainer, before introducing it into Europe when he was hired by London Wasps Rugby Club in 2005.

The Versapulley machine uses resistance to create a user-defined workout. The harder the rope is pulled, the harder the machine pulls it back when it retracts. It is available in standard, portable and wall-mounted versions,

Cater’s role will include educating users on how best to use Versapulley, supporting other trainers and developing specific training programmes using the equipment.

He is already in talks with other rugby clubs and Premier League football teams about introducing Versapulley their strength and conditioning training.

Cater said: “I’ve found that the weightless training of the Versapulley helps to fill the gap that free weights leave in training the full power spectrum.

“The rotary inertia training that the Versapulley offers gives me an invaluable tool to build strength, power and fitness for healthy and injured athletes alike.”
