Kevin Nolan, a cold Wednesday in February and a thunderous tackle. Three reasons why Ronaldinho won't cut it IF he joins Rovers
According to the BBC, Blackburn Rovers' new owners are in talks to bring Ronaldinho to Ewood Park - click here if you don't believe me.
IF he does join, and that's a big IF in my opinion, he won't cut the mustard for one very good reason. Spain, Italy and Brazil all have remarkably better climates than the UK. And OK, he played with PSG in France as well, but the French game, like Italy and Spain, is a little easier going than the Premier League.
Put yourself in his shoes. It's February, it's cold, it's a Wednesday and you're marauding up the wing. The next thing you know, you’re flying head first over the advertising boards as Kevin Nolan, Joey Barton or any other combative midfield player (even those not pulling on a Newcastle shirt) make sure you know you’re in a game.
He’d be on the first plane home, saying he’s homesick. Ring any bells Tevez/Robinho?
It’s one of the reasons I’m sure he didn’t join Chelsea at the start of last decade, and one of the reasons I’m sure he won’t last three weeks, even if he does join Rovers.
Until next time,
