Toy firm to upgrade football action figure series after big-money transfers from Liverpool and Chelsea
Pattni Imaginations is to update its Match Stars football action figures to represent the record-breaking sums splashed out by Premier League football clubs during the recent transfer window.
With Fernando Torres moving from Liverpool to Chelsea for £50m, and Luis Suárez moving from Ajax to Liverpool in a a £20m-plus deal, Pattni Imaginations said a new Torres figure will be kitted out in Chelsea’s blue strip whilst Suárez will be wearing red.
“We keep bang up to date with all the latest big name transfers so have immediately started upgrading our ranges,” said Pattni Imaginations managing director Mayur Pattni.
Pattni Imaginations’ Match Stars are fully poseable football action figures with players from Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United (pictured) and Barcelone available.
The figures, wearing next season’s home kits for each team, will launch in October, and Pattni Imaginations has already stated its intent to work with sports retailers to use the range to supplement their existing football equipment sales.
