Odlo grows sales 8pc in 2010
Sportswear manufacturer grows sales by eight per cent last year following growth in 2009
Sportswear manufacturer Odlo saw sales grow eight per cent in 2010 to CHF173m (£112.5m; €133.3m).
This followed growth in the previous year also, which ended with sales totalling CHF160m (£104m; €123.2m)
The Swiss-based firm said growth would have been higher had it not been for the negative impact of the weak euro. When allowing for currency adjustment, the company said its growth was closer to 13 per cent.
Odlo chief executive officer Andreas Kessler said: “Thanks to convincing, high-quality products, especially in the running and outdoor divisions, as well as to the influence of our world-class athletes such as Dario Cologna or Ole Einar Bjørndalen, and the effects of an extremely cold winter, we can look back on a very positive financial year.”
Kessler inclined that 2011 will see further growth, saying: “Odlo is coming up with a range of new attractive products for next summer, particularly in the bike collection.”
