Baselayer brand opens new showroom in Reading as ‘springboard for future development’
Sports underwear business Odlo has opened its first UK showroom in Reading, which it said will act as a ‘springboard for future development’ in the UK market.
The trade showroom allows trade customers to view and try new and existing baselayer collections, and see Odlo’s point of sale (PoS) materials. It opened in February, with the first visitors seeing Odlo’s winter 2011/12 range.
Odlo also recently recruited three employees including sales representatives and a visual merchandiser. The new team members mean Odlo will be able to provide extra support for its existing customers, as well as continue to grow in 2011, it said.
Ian Latham, Odlo UK sales manager, said: “We’re committed to helping our customers, and having a permanent base will enable us to present our new collection in a relaxed and professional environment.
“The showroom will provide our customers with an opportunity to view the full range of our products at their leisure and in a convenient location. The showroom also showcases Odlo’s PoS material giving retailers a visual concept of the full range.
Odlo has recorded strong sales growth over the last two years, with UK turnover increasing by 120 per cent year-on-year in 2010.
Latham said: “Last year was an exceptional time for Odlo in the UK and the investment in a new showroom is an exciting step.
“The company has ambitious growth plans for the UK and we anticipate that the showroom in Reading will be an important springboard for future development.”
