Environmentally-friendly retail display products manufacturer increases sales by 63 per cent in 2010 thanks to ‘commitment to the environment’

Ditto, which designs and manufactures sustainable display products for the retail market, said it saw sales increase by 63 per cent in 2010.

Ditto said brands like adidas, O’Neill and Acorn Footwear uses its display products, while it has also grown its direct-to-consumer business to cash in on sales for the domestic market.

Its hangers incorporate recycled, recyclable, rapidly renewable and/or bio-based materials, and replace toxic and non-sustainable materials with organic or natural alternatives, including inks, dyes and adhesives.

Gary Barker, chief executive officer of Ditto, said: “The company has been quietly going about turning out the highest quality, best designed, 100 per cent recyclable clothes hanger in the world and consumers have responded.

“We've primarily focused on the retail market for the better part of our four years in business. Manufacturers like Adidas, O'Neill, and Acorn Footwear elected to use our displays because they communicate a brand's commitment to the environment off the shelf and, because customers elect to take them home with their clothing purchase, those brand values are reiterated each time the consumer pulls the garment from their closet."
