Pattni Imaginations latest to want to work with buying groups
Football action figures manufacturer looking at buying groups as way to maximise its exposure to sports trade
Pattni Imaginations is the latest company to voice its desire to work with the sports trade’s buying groups in order to maximise its opportunities with the trade.
DMP, the exclusive UK distributor for the Tune Belt range of portable electronic device carriers, recently said it was looking to get into bed with a buying group as a way to increase its exposure to the sports trade community, while electronic stock management and sales system supplier Cybertill has recently been named as preferred partner for STAG, a similar position it already holds with Intersport.
Cybertill sales director Tony Woods said this position would allow it to target the buying groups’ members, as it is a company that pursues sales through word of mouth and recommendations, rather than cold-calling.
Pattni Imaginations managing director Mayur Pattni said it would be looking to work with the buying groups as a means to maximise understanding and exposure of its fully poseable Match Stars football action figures, which are due to hit the shelves in October.
He said: “We’ve already approached Intersport about working with it, and will probably look to attend some shows in year two once the product has been established as sport, along with the toy market, is key for us.”
