Goalkeeper training aid extends range in time for new season
Responseball, the goalkeeper training aid designed to help goalkeepers improve their reactions, movement and co-ordination, is extending its product line to cover all levels of player.
Responseball products are described as the ‘ball with bumps’ and are designed to combine regular and irregular bounces to help goalkeepers improve their reflexes and responses during training.
The ball was launched on to the market last year and it is claimed that a host of Premiership and Championship level professional football clubs use it. It has also been widely accepted by the retail community, with a host of specialist stockists in the UK selling it. There are also distributors delivering the ball into the USA, Canada and Japan.
The collection for 2011 includes the original Origin ball, although this has been improved with developments in its construction and the introduction of an Air-Lock system that helps it retain its shape longer.
New for 2011 are the Elite and Max Responseballs. The Elite is intended for professional use, with a 100 per cent PU, four-layer textured grain, hand-stitched construction to ‘guarantee consistently high-performance and bounce’. It also has an eight-wing latex bladder for improved bounce and a butyl valve, using the Air-Lock system for improved air retention
The Max weighs in at 1kg, twice as heavy as a regular ball, and is intended as an aid to provide core training and improve a goalkeeper’s handling and strength.
