Motorola to rival Nike
Telecoms firm rumoured to be planning sports watch
Gadget website T3 is reporting that technology firm Motorola might be set to launch a rival to Nike and TomTom’s SportsWatch.
According to the report, the new device, which hasn’t been named, will have a ‘smart music player’ designed to play tracks that are perfect for the gym or when out running, as well as GPS and synchronisation functionality for tracking training.
As well as the SportsWatch, it will rival Apple’s iPod Nano and images appearing online appear to show it has more than a passing resemblance to the latest generations of the Apple device.
There is, as yet, no official confirmation or comment available.
