Running brand joins forces with taxi firm to offer unique courier service until August 19
Asics and Addison Lee, a leading taxi and courier service in London, have joined forces on a unique delivery service using athletes to deliver small packages and parcels around the capital.
The Running Courier service is available until August 19 and will see trained athletes carrying small packages and parcels around central London. There is a maximum journey distance of two miles and a percentage of all proceeds from the service will be donated to the British Red Cross.
British triathlete and Asics ambassador Tim Don said: “This is a really innovative and environmentally friendly way to beat the traffic of central London. The team are going to have to work very hard but we hope the businesses of London will keep them busy with plenty of orders so we raise as much money as possible for British Red Cross.”
John Griffin, chairman for Addison Lee said: “The new Running Courier service is another ‘first’ for Addison Lee. This has got to be the greenest way possible to deliver parcels and we’re expecting lots of our corporate clients to jump at this opportunity and support a very good cause.”
Running Couriers can be specifically ordered by emailing asics@addisonlee.com.
