New offices for online retailer four times larger; growth driven by push into Europe and partnership ventures

Activinstinct has moved from its location in Colindale to a new office and warehousing facility further north in the capital in Borehamwood.

The Borehamwood premises are four times larger and are said to be a key part of its growth strategy that has seen a push into Europe and new partnership ventures formed, most lately with Shop Direct, the UK’s largest online and home shopping retailer.

Sales for Activinstinct have increased by 28 per cent with profits ahead by 62 per cent on the previous year. The company was recently announced as a finalist in the Small Online Business of the Year category of the National Business Awards.

Mike Thornhill, Activinstinct’s chief executive officer, said: We see this relocation as a reflection of the far-reaching achievements and significant growth that Activinstinct has generated, particularly over the past few years.

“This move marks another step in Activinstinct’s sustainable programme for growth. We plan to double the size of the business over the next couple of years so expansion on this scale was necessary to maintain the high level of service to our fast-growing number of customers.”
