Skins launches interactive in-store unit with independent retailers
Sports compression wear company Skins has introduced a new interactive in-store merchandising unit which provides the independent retailer with an opportunity to create a unique selling environment and gives the consumer a personal buying experience
The interactive kiosk is designed to accurately measure height and weight, while also allowing the consumer to specify their intended activity and ensure the relevant product is recommended.
The unit, which was first unveiled at the ISPO Exhibition in Munich in February, is now being rolled out to selected independent and specialist retailers in the UK and Ireland.
Skins UK General Manager, David Ling said: “The science surrounding the compression wear category can sometimes be confusing and misleading, so we believe that it’s important to simplify this process to ensure that the consumer is able to make an informed buying decision.
So far, units have been installed in selected key retailers in the UK and Ireland, and these will operate under the Skins ‘Compression Centre’ banner.
The retailers involved are SS Moore Sports Belfast, Tony Pryce Sports Exeter, Ger Wyley Sports, Waterford and Maher Sports Cork.
