Asics European sales rise by 13.2%
Asics Europe sales increased by 13.2% between January and September 2011
Running footwear sales rose 21% and running apparel 25%. The company also posted revenue increases in tennis and indoor sports.
By country, Asics said Austria, Benelux, UK and Germany enjoyed solid growth. Scandinavia, France, Spain and Poland provided significant double-digit growth, while Russia just missed out on posting triple growth figures.
The release of its latest financial results follows the launch of Asics’ ‘Made of Sport’ advertising campaign, which has been supported by the largest media spend in the company’s history, and the launch of the new 33 collection into the natural running market.
