156 Named to the UAA Spring Academic Team

Rochester, NY –Washington University in St. Louis had 156 student-athletes named to the 2022 University Athletic Association (UAA) Spring Varsity Team, the association recently announced. The Bears led the way academically in the SAU during all three seasons – fall, winter and spring.

To earn a spot on the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have completed a full year of college at their current institution and have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.3. This spring, a total of 705 student-athletes received All-Academic honors, representing approximately 79% of the total eligible UAA student-athletes.

WashU’s 156 student-athletes are the highest in the conference this spring, followed by Emory with 102. The Bears led the UAA in softball (13), women’s track and field (54) and men’s track and field (51) .
