NEW DELHI: Digital mega plan launched by Trinamool Congress to counter BJP
and propel party matriarch Mamata Banerjee as the sought-after opponent against Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the
2024 elections.

Launching a dedicated website and Twitter account in Didi’s name, TMC MP Derek O’Brien said the platforms will be used to break fake news and “empty rhetoric” pushed by the BJP. The platforms titled “India Wants Mamata Di” went live on Saturday.

“We have made it clear that India wants Mamata Banerjee to lead the next federal government. There is no doubt that only she can challenge Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s political hegemony in 2024,” a senior TMC official said.

With that, the TMC sounded the poll trumpet projecting Mamata Banerjee as the face of Prime Minister for 2024, albeit numerically. The website describes Mamata Banerjee as the “tigress of Bengal and India”, with many firsts to her credit.

Launching a pan-India digital campaign projecting Mamata Banerjee as the next prime minister, the TMC said it wants every Indian to benefit from good governance through its pro-people policies aimed at holistic development – making her India’s first-ever Bengali Prime Minister in 2024. “The projection of TMC supremo as the face of the Prime Minister on all digital platforms will gradually intensify until the next Lok Sabha elections,” a source said. of the TMC.
